Behind the Dreams.
Synopsis: Dreams can hide more secrets than we imagine. Try to unravel, with Luisa, the mystery behind the murders of entire families, carried out by their own children while they slept. In this crime thriller, you will learn more about how dangerous our minds can be and, much more, the people who manage to dominate them.

Experimentation.
After reading a friend's story in the making, I thought: can I write a book too? And so I decided to write a crime thriller story (my favorite genre).
The challenge was to venture into an area in which I had no knowledge and experiment to see what results I would get. I didn't have a reading habit at the time I wrote, but I already admired people who read a lot and I wanted to start having that habit. Thinking about writing a book was a first step to encouraging me to start enjoying reading and exploring another creative area.
Result.
The best result for me, besides finishing a complete narrative, was the review from a reader on Amazon, who praised the story and the writing.
It took me a while to publish the book because I wasn't familiar with the writing medium, I believed that people wouldn't like it, but it was when I understood that I was out of my comfort zone that I should be happy to finish a different, independent project. than regular readers thought. And it was worth it.
Building a story
My process of writing the entire story took 3 weeks.
To begin, I identified the genre and elements I would like to include. I chose the police thriller, but what would be the focus of the investigation? Something that has always interested me is how our mind works to create dreams, so I decided to explore this study as the mysterious cause of the plot.
Once the theme was defined, it was time to start writing. I started the text with a description of a dream and continued with what came to mind. I deleted and rewrote it many times. Later, I studied Freud's interpretation of dreams to guide a few dialogues during the story.
In 2 weeks I had finished everything and, re-reading, I realized that there was a lack of content. The story was not developing well. So I created more ways to continue between chapters and filled in the gaps, as well as revising as I read.
After much revision, I finished the story. The next step was the illustrations. I separated the scenes I liked most from each chapter and started researching references (using Pinterest and Behance) for the scene and angle I wanted to draw and then made sketches. It took about 3 months to create the illustrations. Finally, I diagrammed the book with the arts.
